MB-102 830-Point Breadboard Kit - Power Supply Module + 65pc Jumper Wires
Prototyping without a breadboard means cutting, soldering, and desoldering components every time you want to test a circuit change. With this kit, you press components in, test your design, and rearrange in seconds - no soldering required. The MB-102 is the industry-standard 830-tie-point solderless breadboard: firm-grip phosphor bronze spring contacts rated for 50,000 insertions with labeled columns for easy circuit mapping, and interlocking side clips for expanding your workspace when needed.
The included 3.3V/5V switchable power supply module plugs directly into the breadboard power rails - no alligator clips or dangling wires. It accepts USB input or 6.5-12V DC via a barrel jack connector, delivers up to 700mA, and a slide switch independently selects 3.3V or 5V for each power rail. This makes it easy to power 5V Arduino components alongside 3.3V ESP32 boards on the same breadboard without a separate regulator circuit.
The 65 male-to-male jumper wires come in short, medium, and long lengths across multiple colors - enough for complex multi-component circuits without running short. This kit provides the complete prototyping foundation for wiring any of our component sensors (MQ-2, HC-SR04, NTC thermistor, NE555) or for building out an ESP32 IoT project from scratch. Compatible with all standard 0.1-inch pitch components, Arduino boards, and ESP32 development boards.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is a solderless breadboard and how does it work?
A solderless breadboard is a reusable prototyping board with a grid of spring-clip sockets. Each row of 5 holes in the center section is internally connected, forming one electrical node. Component leads and jumper wires inserted into the same row are joined electrically. The two long rails on each edge run the full board length for power and ground distribution. Components press in and pull out without any soldering.
What power sources does the MB-102 power supply module accept?
The MB-102 power module accepts USB input from any 5V USB charger or computer port, or 6.5-12V DC via a standard 5.5mm center-positive barrel jack. A slide switch on each rail independently selects 3.3V or 5V output. Total output current is rated up to 700mA shared across both rails.
Is this kit compatible with Arduino and ESP32 boards?
Yes. The MB-102 breadboard accepts all standard 0.1-inch pitch component leads used by Arduino Uno, Arduino Nano, ESP32 development boards, and similar microcontrollers. The 38-pin ESP32 board straddles the center divide - use jumper wires to extend pin access. The Arduino Nano and other narrow boards fit cleanly with room to wire on both sides.
Can I expand the breadboard if I need more space?
Yes. The MB-102 includes interlocking side clips so multiple breadboards snap together horizontally or vertically to form a larger continuous workspace. This is useful for complex circuits with many components or when working with multiple sensor modules simultaneously.
Does the power supply module come with a power adapter?
The power supply module is included, but a power adapter is not. Any 5V USB phone charger powers the module via the USB input. For the barrel jack input, a 9V DC center-positive wall adapter with a 5.5mm plug works well. Both options are common and inexpensive.
